How To Become A Lucid Dreamer

If you are unfamiliar with the term, a Lucid Dream is one in which you are aware that you are dreaming. Lucid, of course denotes consciousness. The extent to which you are lucid within your dream depends on how stable the dream is, how much of the dream you can recall upon waking and how much control you have over the course of the dream.

The most remarkable factor about the amazing Lucid Dream is the experience while dreaming. Just being able to identify and impact your dream is astounding. This means that you can direct your dream like a producer does a movie and you have no limits or budget dictating your creation.

Imagine for a few moments what that is like. Dreaming usually seems a lot like reality. Most people even feel most of their senses and faculties as if they were awake. The difference is hat in a Lucid Dream, they know they are dreaming. They know that, no matter what happens, they cannot die or become injured while in the dream state. The normal rules and regulations of reality no longer exist. This is, for all practical purposes, you inborn virtual reality world and you make up all the rules. The depth of realism and imagination is not hemmed in by a budget or computer graphics.

There is an increasing number of people who are trying out the possibilities of Lucid Dreaming for themselves. Most of us have a Lucid Dream at some point or another; but just think how amazing it would be if you were able to Lucid Dream any time you wanted!

If you truly want to open up a new path into some pretty amazing experiences then you probably want to learn just what you can do with these dreams. Imagine, if you will, being able to create your own universe, your own movie saga, create novels and book, or even experiment and design things all in the state of peaceful relaxation and slumber. You could even time travel and speak to people you have never met or have not seen in many years. Your dram has no limits!

Having regular Lucid Dreaming experiences is something which until recently it took months to achieve. People would spend as long as a year in training to have their first Lucid Dream – and it remained out of reach for some people no matter how long they tried.

So are there any simple ways of experiencing a Lucid Dream?

Many people who have experienced a Lucid Dream swear by eating certain foods just prior to the dream. If you would like to try this they usually recommend orange juice, milk, cheese, and mustard. These seem to produce the best results.

Others swear by pickles, fish, ice cream and popcorn. They say that these foods lay the necessary conditions for Lucid Dreaming to occur; but keep in mind that these foods are also high in fat and salt, which isn't going to help you to get a good night's sleep.

Assistant Technology

Your chances to experience Lucid Dream session improves with the new advancing technology. There are now devices on the market that alerts you that you are dreaming and which can induce a Lucid Dream Session. These are quite innovative in that they are simply masks which monitor your eyes. When they detect REM or Rapid Eye Movement, which is an indicator of dreaming, a red diode blinks into your eyes. This beam is registered in your brain and serves as a reminder that you are in fact dreaming and that you are still in control. It is then that you can take control o the dream.

One of the most effective of these new technologies is one which uses audio frequencies called binaural beats. Each of the listener's ears have different frequencies played into them, which helps you to have Lucid Dreams.

Binaural beats serve to induce a synchronizing in both hemispheres of the brain. As if instantly these two special frequencies induce the brain to produce a state of REM sleep. This is where your Lucid Dream can begin.
